Dr. Fiona Crawford presentedVideo of Alzheimer Research Institute Headed By Dr. Mullan Presentation on Traumatic Brain Injury a synopsis
of her recent study of traumatic brain injury
(TBI). Her recently published findings
show how TBI can affect the brain’s
inflammatory mechanisms, changes in
protein levels and cellular pathways, long
after the original trauma. Dr. Crawford’s
work has been followed closely by the
U.S. Department of Defense, because it
could lead to better diagnosis of military
personnel with mild brain injuries.
