Tracking Wandering Alzheimer’s Sufferers

One of the biggest fears that Alzheimer’s caregivers have are that those to whom they attend to will wander off — potentially finding themselves lost and in danger.  Associated Press medical writer Lauran Neergaard talks about a few options in her article today titled “Helping find lost Alzheimer’s patients.”  She discusses cheap devices that cost about $10 per month for batteries to GPS equipped devices.  It is important to study various options since they all have pros and cons.
